 Kairos

Kairos was formed six years ago to provide a fortnightly meeting for people `over 50` so that they could meet together for companionship and friendship. Over time there was a gradual increase in numbers and enthusiam that led to meeting being held weekly on Monday afternoons.

Enjoyment and freedom in one anothers company are the key to Karios, but there is also an awareness of the active minds of Kairos members. Speakers from all walks of life have interested and amused the members.

Visits are made into the local area nad further afield. Trips to Derbyshire and Whitby, Sskegness, Bridlington and Cambridge. In the last two years kairos has also held extended holidays in Southport and Llandudno.

Activities planned for this session include: a visit from the Fair Trading Standards Officer, Talks on the restoration of Tuxford Mill, Lincoln & Notts Air Ambulance, & living & working in Saudi Arabia. Plus visits to the Fire Station, Garden Centre, the Park (to play bowls), and a local school.
